Adults and children who have a desire to learn to ice skate will get an opportunity to do so during Hockey Day in Lockport -- for free.

Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union Arena's Learn to Skate program will offer a free clinic from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 as part of the all-day Hockey Day festivities.

The Learn to Skate program, which teaches kids and adults ice skating -- from basic to advanced for both figure skating and hockey -- normally costs $96 for an 8-week class. There's even a class for parents and their kids to learn together.

The next 8-week session for Learn to Skate at Cornerstone starts Dec. 7. Sign up is already open and can be done at cornerstoneicearena.com/learntoskate.
