A banner honoring Lockport's Ted Darling will be unveiled during Hockey Day in Lockport, Nov. 28 at Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union Arena.
Darling, the original "Voice of the Buffalo Sabres," called the team's televised hockey games from its inaugural year in 1970 through 1991.
He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame, the Buffalo Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame, and the namesake for the "Ted Darling Memorial Press Box" at First Niagara Center in Buffalo.
Darling died in 1996 at the age of 61.
