A few Saxton Street residents were without power for a short time this morning after a car hit a set of guy wires on Saxton near High Street around 10:15 a.m.
The driver of the vehicle said a carton of eggs slid off her seat as she turned the corner and when she reached for them, she hit the guy wires.
Lockport Police and Fire departments responded, as did NYSEG. The driver was reportedly cited for failure to keep right.
The crash is unrelated to a small power outage currently on Beattie Avenue.
