ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com

High winds have brought down trees and tree limbs across Niagara County, leaving pockets of National Grid customers without power.

Currently, 137 National Grid customers in Newfane are without power. The outage, in the area of Ide and Beebe roads, is expected to be restored around 3 a.m. A handful of customers on Ridge Road in Wrights Corners should have their power restored between 2:30 a.m. and 3:15 a.m. Another 38 customers in the area of Checked Tavern and Wheeler roads should be back online around 2 a.m. Also, 15 Middleport customers in the vicinity of Main Street should be re-connected around 4 a.m.

NYSEG is currently not reporting any outages. However reports of downed tree limbs and power lines in the City of Lockport would suggest that there are at least isolated customers without electricity.

UPDATE (2:25 a.m.): NYSEG now says 104 City of Lockport customers are without power. They are on Pine Street, Price Street, Maple Street, Millar Place, Waterman Street and Willow Street. The anticipated restore time is 5 a.m. There are also a handful of National Grid customers in Barker without power until 4:45 a.m.
