More than 1,700 National Grid customers in the Wilson area are currently without power. The outage creeps into the west side of Newfane along Beebe Road.
An early morning power outage in Wilson affected about 400 customers and delayed — then canceled — Wilson schools for the day. Shortly before 2 p.m., however, another outage struck, this one affecting more than 1,100 customers. About 20 minutes later, nearly 300 more customers lost power.
