The National Weather Service calls for mostly cloudy skies today with a high near 40 and an overnight low around 33.
Saturday will be partly sunny with a high near 50 and a low around 32. Sunday looks to be sunny with a high near 53 and a low around 32. Monday: Mostly sunny with a high near 47 a low around 32.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high near 48 and a low around 33. Wednesday: Partly sunny with a high near 49 and a low around 36. Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high near 51.

If there's a theme to this weekend, it is undoubtedly Christmas.
Starting tonight with Niagara Hospice's "Light-A-Life" ceremony and the Col. William Bond House's "A Winterfest Eve," the holiday fun continues through gingerbread cookies at the Lockport Public Library on Friday morning, the Annual Newfane Holiday Light Up Parade in Newfane Friday evening, Scrooge: The Musical at the Palace Theatre and the Niagara Wine Trail's Holiday Happening all weekend, and an ugly sweater contest at Friday night's Lockport Express game.
Of course, there's plenty of non-holiday events to attend this weekend. The full lineup is below.

Lockside Art Center will open a Holiday Art Exhibit and Art Sale from noon to 4 p.m. Friday.
Featuring the work of local artists and artisans, all of the art in the gallery will be for sale during the exhibit which runs through Dec. 13. The art comes in many different mediums including drawings, paintings, photography, computer generated images, fabric art, sculpture, and more.
Lockside Art Center, 21-41 Main St. (Suite 208), is open from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and by appointment.

NEWFANE -- The annual Newfane Holiday Light Up and Parade will take place beginning at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 4 on Main Street.
Cookies, hot chocolate and a visit from Santa will all be part of the days festivities in addition to the parade. Santa will be brought in on a horse drawn wagon, and the lights in town will be lit as the parade makes it way down Main Street. The Wishing Tree will be lit along with a special light up display at the gazebo.
The Newfane United Methodist Church will hold its annual Candy Cane Lane which features vendors, food and crafts beginning at 4 p.m. the same date. Then following the parade, Grace Bible church will hold its first night of the Living Nativity.
Any organization or community group that would like to participate in the parade is asked to contact parade chairman Pat Darrow at 512-9731. This event is sponsored by the Newfane Business Association.

The Lockport Express Junior A hockey team has announced a series of game-day events through the end of 2015.
The team will have theme nights to coincide with its games played at Cornerstone CFCU Arena.
The team's next home game, Sept. 25, against the New York Aviators will be Blue & Gold Day for Lockport High School. Fans who wear a Lockport High School jersey ― or blue or gold — will get in for just $2. Also, fans who make a Lockport Express poster will be allowed admission for just $2.
