WHEATFIELD — A man armed with a gun got away with $60 cash from a 7-Eleven on Ward Road shortly before midnight Thursday, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office says this morning.
According to the report filed by NCSO, they were called to the convenience store, 6955 Ward Road, around 11:51 p.m., where the store clerk met them outside the store and told them he was robbed.
The clerk told patrol that he had been robbed by the same person on April 9. He was very nervous and was unable to give patrol details about the robbers clothing, other than to see he had a black glove and what appeared to be a gun in his right hand. He told patrol that he believed the male suspect is called "Joey" and that he lives a few houses south of the store, the report said.
The clerk gave the male the approximately $ 60.00 cash from the register and the male left the store and ran south on Ward Road.
Numerous NCSO personnel arrived on scene, including Deputy Sean Furey, who conducted a K9 track, which led patrol to a home on Ward Road, a short distance away.
"The scene was turned over to Sgt. Kevin Locicero and Investigator Stephen Gaydos for further investigation," the report concludes.
East Niagara Post now publishes garage and yard sales.
