ENP STAFF REPORTS

A handful of East Niagara eateries are taking part in the annual fall Local Restaurant Week, offering special deals on tasty treats from Oct. 19-25.

The twice-a-year offering started in 2009 with 60 restaurants in the greater-Buffalo area and has grown to more than 200. Eateries are asked to offer a full dinner or a pair of lunches for $20.15. They can also offer $30.15 and $40.15 deals. Restaurants who are interested in participating, can register online at localrestaurantweek.com.

East Niagara restaurants participating include:
  • Cammarata's Restaurant on Robinson Road is offering a trio of dinner combos, including choice angus New York strip steak, veal parmigiana, and Maryland crab cakes. Dinners include a choice of French onion soup or baked stuff clams, salad, and a choice of potato or side of spaghetti and garlic toast.
  • Danny Sheehan's on West Avenue is offering a choice of steaks -- 14-ounce prime rib, 8-ounce filet mignon, or 16-ounce New York strip steak. They're also offering broiled shrimp or scallops. All entrees come with salad, toast, potato and a cup of soup.
  • Garlock's Restaurant on South Transit Street. Their specials for the week have not yet been announced.
  • One Eyed Jack's on South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport is offering a pick-three-meat combo (pulled pork, Jack's chicken, pigken, smoked or grilled turkey breast, turkey, Italian sausage, or catfish) or ribs plus one meat with Brunswick stew or salad, a choice of two sides, garlic toast, and bread pudding. The restaurant also offers a $30.15 option of ribs and chicken for two with the stew/salad, sides, toast and bread pudding.
  • The Shamus Restaurant on West Avenue will feature oven-braised chicken with chorizo sausage and root vegetables, certified angus beef with mashed Yukon potatoes and garlic toast, or homemade fresh pasta and lobster with baby spinach and shallots. Each is served with a choice of soup or salad and choice of desserts: pinot noir and chocolate pudding tart or pumpkin-cranberry bread pudding. Coffee or tea is also included.
  • Steak Stone & Sushi on South Transit Road in the Town of Lockport is offering three different two-can-dine deals: a pick-two sushi chef's special rolls from the menu with edamame as an appetizer for $20.15, two Teriyaki entrees (chicken, New York strip, shrimp or salmon) plus edamame or shrimp Shumai for $30.15, or two Steak Stone entrees (8-ounce New York strip, shrimp, salmon, sword fish or tuna) plus edamame, shrimp Shumai or rock shrimp (pick two) for $40.15.
  • Wilson's Pizza on Main Street in Newfane offers a 12-slice cheese and one topping pizza with 20 wings or a choice of any three subs.
