The Lockport Fire Department has ruled that a fire at 120 Park Lane Circle on June 11 was accidental.
A press release from the department further states that the woman found dead in the home, Marilyn S. Simons, had died of natural causes prior to the blaze.
The initial fire investigation had not concluded whether the 83-year-old had died as a result of the fire or natural causes, however the medical examiner's office concluded she had died prior to the fire starting.
