The Lockport Police Department has released the name of the victim in Thursday's fire on Park Lane Circle.
Marilyn "Sue" Simons was 83 years old.
Lockport police and firefighters responded to Simons' home at 120 Park Lane Circle Thursday afternoon, where they found the living room of the house consumed with fire and Simons deceased.
Simons was believed at the time to be the victim, but police declined to release her name until she was positively identified.
The cause of the fire — and the cause of death — remain under investigation.
