Widewaters Drive-In Restaurant is back on the market — at a deeply discounted rate.
The popular summertime eatery, which has been closed for nearly two years since a flood in June of 2013, has been listed with Hooper Realty with an asking price of $150,000 according to owner Martin Oliveri.
East Niagara Post had published a story in May stating that the restaurant was found listed on local real estate websites for $575,000, but Oliveri said at the time that those listings were out of date and he was not looking for a buyer for the restaurant, which comes with a combined 11 acres of land to the east and north of it.
A year ago, Oliveri was openly discussing plans to re-open the restaurant, but he ran into issues with the city, asking for assurances that more flooding wouldn't occur, which they couldn't give him.
