TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An 18-year-old Lockport man was arrested for sending text messages to a past acquaintance who had an order of protection against him.
Richard N. Powell, was charged Saturday with second-degree criminal contempt, according to a press release issued by New York State Police today.
Powell was arrested, processed and arraigned in the Town of Lockport Court where he was remanded to Niagara County Jail in lieu of $250 cash/$500 bail bond. He was scheduled to reappear in the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
Powell faced similar charges in September.
