ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A federal prisoner was charged with prison contraband Friday night at the Niagara County Jail.
According to the report filed by the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Jimmy Demarcus Sessions, 28, 124 Auburn St., was found smoking marijuana in his jail cell around 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Since Sessions is a federal inmate, he is not permitted to leave the Niagara County Jail and was released back to the jail on appearance tickets for unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree promoting prisoner contraband without being taken to Town of Lockport Court. He is set to appear in Town Court on Thursday to answer the charges.
The suspected marijuana was secured in NCSO evidence lockers for further testing.
