ENP STAFF REPORTS

HARTLAND — A woman in the 2400 block of Checkered Tavern Road told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that two men impersonated DirecTV employees to gain access to her home over the weekend.
The woman said the two males arrived at her residence stating they were employed by DirecTV and were visiting all of the customers in the area due to the recent outages from the storm several weeks ago. She stated she has been having issues with the cable box in the basement, so she allowed both men inside her house to view it.
"The one male was acting very strange and asking irrelevant questions such as if she had a dog and how often is she home to watch television. The male continuously asked the same questions three or four times," the NCSO report states.
The complainant told patrol that the one male was white, approximately 5-foot 10-inches and the other individual was a black male, about 6-foot 5-inches, both with a large build. The men both left in a four-door black sedan with no company labels on it.
The woman called DirecTV and was informed that none of their employees were on Checkered Tavern Road on Friday, when the men were at her home.
