National Grid is reporting multiple power outages throughout Niagara County.
Specific outages have been reported in Newfane along Coomer and Beebe roads, as well as a downed power line near the corner of Coomer and Ide roads. That downed power line is sparking, according to emergency personnel, who suggest that drivers steer clear of the area.
Another outage occurred on Lockport-Olcott Road and lines have been reported down — and arcing — on McClew Road in Burt. There are also NYSEG customers without power on Wick Road and Lake Avenue in Wrights Corners.
Power outages, downed trees and downed power lines have also been reported in Olcott, Barker and Hartland.
