Lamont Washington

A 25-year-old city man has been charged with first-degree assault and third-degree possession of a weapon following a bar fight Saturday morning.

Lamont Washington, 122 Cottage St., upper, was injured during the fight at Lock 34 around 2 a.m. and taken to Erie County Medical Center. After being released from ECMC, he was taken to Niagara County Jail and held without bail, Lockport police confirmed today.

Aside from Washington, two other men were injured. Eric Hayes, of Gasport, was transported to ECMC by Mercy Flight and then released later Saturday. The third injured person remains hospitalized and recovering from his injuries at ECMC, according to LPD.
