Lyman Fredrick Glynn, 101, of Lockport, New York, entered into rest on February 20, 2016 peacefully in his sleep.

Lyman was born in Lockport, New York, on June 16, 1914. He was a lifelong resident of Lockport, the city he loved to call home. Lyman married his loving wife Dorothy on July 13, 1940 and they were happily married for 62 years until her passing in 2002. Together they loved to travel and spend time with family and friends.

Lyman worked at Upson Co. for more than 30 years. He enjoyed gardening and took great pride in giving his produce to family and friends throughout the growing season. He also loved to entertain at his house in the north end of Lockport.  Many memorable games of shuffleboard were played in his home where he lived for 74 years.

Lyman is survived by his two children, Sharon (Richard) Palladino of Gasport and Fredrick (Joan) Glynn of Lockport; his 7 grandchildren Randy Palladino, Deanne (Capt. Joseph) Polanin, Michelle (Brian) Bradley, Sharon (Gregory) Saraf, Sean (Barbara) Glynn, Susan (Robert) Brooks and Tara (Michael) Wasik; great grandfather of  Emily, Elizabeth and Erica Bradley, Alexis, Arianna and Cole Saraf, Alex, Brady and Chase Glynn, Zachary, Joshua and Jacob Brooks, Natalie Wasik, Kiana and Sydney Polanin.

Lyman is preceded in death by his parents, Lyman and Mary Glynn; as well as 7 brothers and sisters. Lyman lived a truly blessed life and spread joy to everyone he met throughout his nearly 102 years on this Earth. Long live the beauty that comes down and through and onto all of us. The family of Lyman Glynn wishes to thank the entire staff at the Briody Nursing Facility for their excellent care.
Friends may call on Tuesday Feb. 23rd 4-8 PM in Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, Inc., 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, where services will be held Wednesday Feb. 24th at 11 AM.
