Lockport police investigate an area on Washburn Street at Ashley Place,  where they say a gunman fired shots then fled shortly after 11 a.m.

Lockport Police detectives are currently investigating a crime scene on Washburn Street where they say an unknown person fired shots into a Washburn Street home then fled.

The investigation is ongoing so police weren't offering all the details but they did state that the armed assailant shot into a home on the east side of Washburn from the area of Ashley Place, then fled west down Ashley Place.

The incident happened around 11:09 a.m.

Further details were not yet released by LPD. We'll bring you more when we have it.
