Members of the Lockport Fire Department are on scene at the Lockport Family YMCA, investigating a call of "a smell of smoke" from the community center.
Engines 7 and 8 are parked in front of the East Avenue building while crews look in and around the building for the source of the smell.
The building remains occupied during the search.
Earlier today, LPD and NCSO searched the city for a black smoke. Reports from 911 calls placed the smoke in several different locations. It was never found and first responders gave up the search.
