Lockport's Grigg Lewis Foundation is offering summer employment opportunities for college and college-bound students living in Eastern Niagara County.

Summer 2016 jobs are awaiting Eastern Niagara County college students who are interested in working at local not-for-profit agencies. The jobs are funded by the Grigg Lewis Foundation’s Workership Program.

Students interested in applying for these positions must certain qualifications, including: they must be a college student who will be returning to his or her studies in the fall of 2016 or a high school graduate who has been accepted at an accredited college for fall 2016. The student must be a resident of Eastern Niagara County, which is the primary focus for the Grigg Lewis Foundation.

Applications are accepted only by the not-for-profit agencies involved. The Foundation does not accept or forward applications nor does it take a role in selecting employees. Family members of an employee or a board member of a sponsored not-for-profit are not eligible to apply at that agency.

The primary focus of the workership opportunities is to provide financial assistance to area college students; to allow local institutions to expand their summer programming and to benefit the entire community by the expanded and improved programs of the agencies.

To view a list of available positions with phone numbers to call for applications visit the third floor Reference Desk of the Lockport Public Library or visit www.grigglewis.org/workerships.
