Edward E. Byrd passed away suddenly December 16, 2015.

Born February 8, 1948 in Vero Beach, FL he is the son of, Alberta (Bristol) Byrd of Lockport and the late Alto Byrd, Jr. Edward served in the US Army from 1968 to 1970 earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and an Expert M-14.  He also served in the National Guard for 20 years. Edward worked for Delphi for 40 years where he was a press operator retiring in 2008 and was a videographer for LCTV. He was a member of Lockport Toastmasters and enjoyed photography, nutrition, going to the gun range, and dinner theater.

Besides his mother Edward is survived by his children Andrea (Sean) Thompson of Amherst, Edward B. Byrd of Niagara Falls, Corey L. Byrd, and Jimmie L.W. (Danielle) Byrd both of Buffalo; grandfather of Kyle Hatchett, Sean Hezekiah Thompson, and Naomi Hollie; brother of Raymond L. Byrd of Lockport, Kenny A. Byrd of Buffalo, Brenda (Errol) Molltrie, Sylvia Byrd both of California, Sharon (Barry) Bynes, Judy Byrd both of Lockport, Alto (Janet) Byrd, III of Niagara Falls, Tyrone Curtis Byrd of Lockport, Patricia LaRocque of Buffalo, Alisa Byrd, Anita Byrd both of Lockport and Paul Byrd; also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, Dec. 22nd from 5-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport where funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 23rd at 11 AM.
