MIDDLEPORT -- An opening reception for Nature’s Strokes II, an exhibit of watercolor & acrylic paintings by Dody Walter is slated for 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at The Lamplighter Gallery, 16 Main St.
The public is invited to this free event, where light refreshments will be served and attendees will have an opportunity to meet the artist while enjoying a wide variety of work on display.
Dody will be releasing a calendar featuring her work and will sign copies for attendees to the exhibit opening. The calendar has a bonus month, beginning in December 2015 adding to the 12 months of 2016. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to breast cancer research in honor of friends who have battled the disease.
The exhibit which is sponsored in part by the Niagara Art Trail will run through Dec. 19. The Lamp Lighter Gallery is open Thursdays from 6 - 8 p.m. or by appointment by calling 957-7778.
The calendar which is also being presented by The Niagara Art Trail will cost $20. It will be available for purchase at the show as well as at Ticklebridge located at 14 Market St. in the Bewley Building, and The Niagara County History Center, 215 Niagara St., both in Lockport. It will also be available on-line at NiagaraArtTrail.com.
