Lockport police shut down Main Street Monday night while investigating the scene of a crash. A 61-year-old male was struck while crossing the street and pronounced dead at the scene. (ENP STAFF PHOTO)

Lockport PD is still not releasing the name of the pedestrian struck and killed on Main Street Monday night, but they have confirmed that the deceased is a 61-year-old male.

According to LPD, they were called to Main Street at approximately 8:19 p.m., where they found the un-identified male lying in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police blocked off the roadway and conducted an investigation into the crash.

No charges are pending against the driver at this time, according to police, however, the investigation is ongoing.
