Two businesses in Lockport's City Centre at 80 Main St. have closed their doors for good.
Mericana restaurant and Kitchen Concepts both posted notices to their doors, greeting would-be customers with news of their closing.
Mericana had a similar note about their closing -- although a reason was not given. The eatery's Facebook page, meanwhile, offered this notice from Monday afternoon:

Kitchen Concepts had a note on the door stating that its closing was due to "economic conditions."
Mericana is now closed for everyday service. If you would like information regarding offsite catering or are interested in booking the restaurant for a private event please email info@mericana-ny.com.
A comment to the note posted this morning said that outstanding Mericana gift certificates could be redeemed at the restaurant owners' other location, Zambistro, in Medina.
The news of the Lockport closings come on the heels of the announcement that Schimshacks Restaurant in Sanborn would be closing after 40 years in business.
