WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The Lockport Express will return home with a .500 record after a pair of victories this weekend in Toyota Sportsplex.

Following a 7-4 victory Friday, Lockport's Junior A hockey team easily defeated the Wilkes-Barre Miners 10-1 this afternoon as two Express players recorded hat tricks in the contest.

Lockport's Andrew Logar notched the first goal of the game at 6:56 of the first period, assisted by Justin Durkee and Nicholas Wilcox. Durkee landed his own goal at 10:59, a short handed goal, unassisted. Mark Friol made it 3-0 at the 16:01 mark, assisted by Ryan Logar, who got a second assist with time running out in the first period, as he fed Nicholas Wilcox for the team's fourth goal.

Andrew Logar again opened the second-period scoring, assisted by Erick Santiago at 9:14. Friol landed his second of the afternoon at 15:13, assisted by Austin Kasperek. Ryan Flanagan scored the Miners lone goal of the game unassisted at 16:28.

Andrew Logar capped the hat-trick by getting the first goal of the third period, as well. Durkee and Wilcox assisted on the goal at 3:29. Wilcox then got a pair of goals at 11:40 (from Santiago) and 12:00 (from Anthony Tomassi) for his hat-trick. Josh Evoy made it 10-1 at 16:47 with a goal from Gibson Stuart.
