ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
The Dale Association is looking for volunteers for a pair of important programs.
The Dale Association’s Memory Minders Program (a social day program for adults with mild memory loss) is recruiting new volunteers for its Monday 10 a.m. 2 p.m. class at 33 Ontario St. The association asks anyone with a few hours to donate and who enjoys working with others, please consider this fulfilling volunteer opportunity where the group enjoys playing games, test kitchen-fun, arts and crafts, trivia and puzzles, field trips, guest speakers and more.
For those looking to hang out with a much younger crowd, the Dale Association’s intergenerational program, linking senior volunteers with school age students, is expanding. Senior volunteers read, write, talk with and listen to students in the Lockport City public and DeSales Catholic school(s) a few hours a month, helping to enrich learning and support reading and writing fluency.
Interested adults are asked to call Sherry Livergood, volunteer coordinator, at 433-1886. To learn more about the Dale and its programs, www.daleassociation.com.
