LEWISTON — A 23-year-old Gasport man was charged Friday with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle at a motorcycle enforcement checkpoint on Route 31.
Over 2,000 vehicles went through the checkpoint, conducted by New York State Police, while 83 were inspected and 35 traffic tickets were written.
Dillon P. Biro of Gasport was originally stopped for operating a vehicle with an expired vehicle inspection. A DMV check revealed Biro was driving his vehicle while his operating privileges were revoked.
He was charged and transported to the Town of Cambria for arraignment before being released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to re-appear on Oct. 6.
