Lockport CARES Homeless Shelter will be the recipient of gifts of materials and services during the WNY Celebration of Service on Friday, Sept. 11.
Approximately 130 volunteers are expected to help install a gazebo and concrete floor, as well as work on the fire escape at the shelter, 192 Genesee St.
Registration and sign-up begins at 8 a.m. with lunch planned at noon and the days' work expected to conclude at 2:30 p.m.
The Home Depot Foundation is providing all materials and tools for the project.
