Adams works on "The Guardian of the Waters" on Monday.
As days progress, so does the work being done by Augustina Droze and Bruce Adams on the Mural on Main, a 42-by-60-foot painting going up on the side of Mills Jewelers.

The pair first completed the top left corner of the mural last week before moving to the central figure in the mural, entitled "The Guardian of the Waters." With her completed, they've returned to the left side of the mural, adding sketching and beginning to work on a larger-than-life bicyclist in the bottom left corner.

The project was delayed slightly earlier this month by typically unpredictable Western New York weather. But the slight delay hasn't faded spectators excitement in its progression.

"Looks great!," said one passerby today, yelling to Droze and Adams while they toiled away.

Donations for the $35,000 project are still being accepted in a variety of forms. Visit muralonmain.org to find out how to donate or for more information.
