Jeannette R. Pursey passed away August 20, 2015. Born in Lockport, NY on January 18, 1946.

She was the daughter of Metford and Ruth (Olear) Pursey. Jeannie achieved many professional accomplishments in her life but she will be remembered most for treating people with kindness and motivating them to reach their fullest potential. Her most important role was as a mother, grandmother and friend. She was a nurturing and loving mother not only to her children but to many others. She was a talented knitter, crafter, avid golfer, and a devoted Buffalo Bills fan. She adored her friends at the fire hall as well.

Jeannie is survived by her children Michelle Wilson of Tonawanda, Richard Wilson of Albany and Melissa (Kevin) Hawkins of Gasport; "Grama Jean-o" to Bethany ("Bets"), Kyle, John, Marley Jean, Casey, Evan, Fia, Alexander and Ryan.  She was the sister of Dennis (Angie) Stachera, David Pursey and Joan (Barry) Cornelius;  and is also several beloved nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, August 25th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 26th at 10am in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport.
