ROYALTON — A Root Road woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Monday that an unknown person opened a PayPal account in her name, charging more than $900 to the account.
The woman said she had recieved a letter from PayPal thanking her for opening the account and advising her that she had a balance of $902.45. She said the charge was for concert tickets at a website called Razorgator.com.
The complainant told patrol that she had never opened a PayPal account and does not attend concerts. She said she contacted PayPal and they advised her the tickets were being sent to her Root Road address. They also suggested she file a police report and to call them back with the report number to remove the charges.
