ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
A commemorative brochure highlighting the 150 events planned during the City of Lockport's sesquicentennial celebration is being planned.
Over 100 events have already been submitted to the Sesquicentennial Celebration Committee, the organization that's planning the nine-day celebration in honor of the city's 150th birthday from June 27 - July 5. Dozens more are still in the works.
Businesses and private citizens can plan their own events in honor of the city's birthday as well, submitting them online at Lockport150.com. Events that are submitted by May 29 will be included in the brochure, which is being designed by HG Design Studios, printed by Summit MSP, and paid for by the Lockport Business Association with matching grant from the William G. Mayne, Jr. Business/Community Enhancement Grant.
Lockport's Sesquicentennial Celebration Committee is a 12-member committee comprised of Lockport residents, business people and government officials working with private donations.
