NEWFANE — A 24-year-old South Main Street man was charged Thursday with criminal possession of a controlled substance after Niagara County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call of a suspicious person.
According to the NCSO report, patrol had been told by a caller that there may be illegal drug activity going on on South Main Street. When they arrived at around 10:07 a.m., Martin H. Reyes, 2772 South Main St. Upper Apt., was found to have Suboxone in his wallet but could not produce a prescription for it.
Reyes was ordered to appear in Town of Newfane Court on Tuesday.
