TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Dysinger Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that his neighbor stole a box that had been delivered to him on Wednesday.
The man said he returned home about 4:10 p.m. that day and noticed that his neighbor's door was ajar and inside was a package labeled to him. The complainant said he saw that the box was opened with packaging material spread around the box on the floor. The man reached in and grabbed the box, which had contained $74.52 worth of car care products.
The complainant spoke with the neighbor who was home at the time, but the neighbor denied taking the box and said he had only returned home himself. The neighbor said that it was his roommate who took the box, then he left.
Patrol attempted to contact the neighbor Wednesday night but was unsuccessful. They will follow up later.
