Marion E. DiNicolantonio of Lockport, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lockport, NY on September 24, 1922, she was the daughter of Louis and Blanche (Dusing) Brown.

A 1940 graduate of Lockport High School, Marion worked for the former New York Telephone Company for 31 years retiring in 1982. She married the love of her life, Anthony DiNicolantonio, on May 17, 1947. Marion loved to laugh and enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. Early in her life her love of swimming led to her Red Cross certification as a lifeguard and swim instructor at the YMCA. She also enjoyed singing as a part of the Harmony Sisters, performing at local venues such as the Olcott Hotel. After retirement, she enjoyed 25 wonderful winters in Naples, Florida with Anthony.

Marion was a long-time member of the Telephone Pioneers Club and Twenty-Nine and Holding group of the YWCA. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church for more than 50 years and more recently, St. John the Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband of 67+ years, Marion is survived by her three children, Dianne (John) Cross, Sandra (Thomas) Scrace and John A. (Nancy) DiNicolantonio, all of Lockport; seven grandchildren, Lisa (Matthew) Mattucci, Lindsay (Shane) Myers, Thomas (Sarah) Scrace, Jr., Anthony Scrace, Kristin, Kimberly and Kelly DiNicolantonio; and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Mela, Tyler and Emelia. She is also survived by her brother, John (Patricia) Brown of Sacramento, California and sister-in-­law, Marie Angelo of Lockport and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was predeceased by her sister, Alice Brown and brothers, Louis, Howard and David (Rosella) Brown.

Friends and relatives may call Monday, February 9, 2015 from 3-7 PM at Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St, Lockport. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 10 AM in St. John's on Chestnut Street in Lockport with interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorial donations are appreciated by the family to Niagara Hospice for all of the loving care given to Marion.
