PENDLETON — A 44-year-old Lockport man was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated on Dunnigan Road.
Kenneth J. Hylkema was observed traveling westbound in the eastbound lane on Dunnigan Road, according to New York State Police. While interviewing the him, patrol noticed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. Standardized field sobriety tests were given to Hylkema, which he failed. Hylkema was arrested and processed at SP Lockport with a BAC of 0.11%.
Hylkema was issued citations returnable to the Town of Pendleton Court on Jan. 14.
