BARKER — The Greater Lockport Family YMCA and YMCA Camp Kenan has added a family fun run/walk to its race series.
The Fall Frolic Family Fun Run 3K will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at YMCA Camp Kenan, The 3K (1.86 mile) run will flow through a semi-wooded loop through the Great Woods.
In addition to the run, family activities include face painting by the YMCA Teen Leaders Club, a large castle bounce house, pumpkin carving (free pumpkins for the first 20 families that arrive and register), fresh baked fall goodies, farm-fresh apples donated by Donovan Orchards & Blackbird Cider Works, camp crafts and more. Race shirts are also still available for late registrants.
Registration forms can be found at the Lockport Family YMCA or online at www.CampKenan.com. Registration on the day of the race is also available for $5 without a shirt or $10 with one. Family activities are included in the registration fee.
The YMCA race series generates funding to support the camper scholarship program and assist families and youth through the year for summer camping experiences and offseason special events.
