TOWN OF LOCKPORT — An 18-year-old woman was charged Saturday afternoon with stealing $81.52 worth of items from Walmart.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office, Angelique D. Menchacha, 5705 Oak Lane, was seen by Walmart employees around 4:25 p.m. concealing several items in her purse and passing all points of purchase. Walmart's security officer stopped the suspect at the door and took her to her office without incident.

Patrol interviewed the Menchacha, who stated that she wasn't sure why she did it and that she did it once before but didn't get caught.

She was charged with petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket for the Town of Lockport Court on Thursday.
