NEWFANE — The DWI case against Lockport PD Lieutenant Adam Piedmont was adjourned on Tuesday until Dec. 9.
Piedmont, who was charged Oct. 5 with DWI after allegedly striking a parked car in front of 2769 S. Main St., remains on paid administrative leave from the Lockport Police Department through the conclusion of the case. He pleaded not guilty to the DWI on Oct. 7.
In addition to the DWI charge, Piedmont was charged with refusal to take a breath test, and operating a motor vehicle while using a mobile phone.
The adjournment, requested by George Muscato — Piedmont's attorney — was done so that Muscato had time to file motions in the case, he said.
