NEWFANE — A woman living on The Heights told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Tuesday morning that the rear hatch window of her vehicle was shattered.
The woman said that she had found the rear hatch window of her 2005 Ford Escape broken/shattered. She said that she had heard an odd noise sometime between 6 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., but did not know what the noise was. She said that she was taking the garbage to the road and noticed that he window had been shattered.
Patrol could not determine what was used to break the window. The complainant said that there appeared to be nothing missing from the vehicle. There appeared to be more glass on the ground out of the vehicle than there was inside the vehicle. Patrol checked around her residence for any further damage but could not locate anything.
The damaged windows replacement was estimated at $350. Patrol checked around the neighborhood to look for any other signs of damage, but could not locate anything further.
