ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A juvenile was caught stealing from the Bon-Ton Tuesday evening, according to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
While the Bon-Ton had intended to release the juvenile to his parents, the alleged thief refused to give store employees any contact information for his parents or guardians. That resulted in a call to NCSO.
According to the report, the juvenile had taken the perfume tester and attempted to leave the store with it, but was caught by store employees. The perfume tester does not have a retail value.
The juvenile told patrol that he didn't know why he took the tester and that he made a bad decision.
Police eventually dropped the boy off at a relative's house after initially being unable to contact his family. No charges were filed by the store.
