WRIGHTS CORNERS — A man in a Miami Dolphins baseball cap walked out of Tops on Lockport-Olcott Road late Wednesday night with a basket full of groceries he didn't pay for.
According to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office report, a white male, approximately five-foot, 10-inches tall, thin build, wearing a orange colored Miami Dolphins hat, brown hooded sweatshirt, and blue jeans entered the store around 11:15 p.m., placed items into a plastic grocery basket, placed the plastic basket full of items onto the easy scan checkout, looked at the clerk, and then walked out with the basket full of unpaid items.
The clerk yelled for the male to pay for the items, at which point the male ran out of the store with the items and basket. The clerk did not observe the male's direction of travel or if he entered a vehicle in the parking lot. She stated she had observed the male inside the store before and gave police a possible name for the suspect.
