The DeSales Knights swim team continued on its winning path with a 139-101 win over St Marys/St John this past Sunday at Sweet Home High School.
The 8-and-under division were led by Jack Strong who won both the 100 IM and 25 butterfly. Other individual winners were Henry Genewick on 25 freestyle and Alexa Zglinicki in the 25 backstroke.
The 9-10 division continues to dominate in the pool. The 200 Medley Relay recorded a win by Elizabeth Kershaw, Gracie Cordle, Madison Fragale, and Grace Buzak. The 200 Free Relay also won and was composed of of Fragale, Cordle, Buzak, and Aidan Morgan. In individual races, Morgan won the 100 IM as well as the 100 freestyle, Buzak won the 50 freestyle, Cordle won in the 50 backstroke and Fragale won the 50 breaststroke.
The 11-and-older division won the 200 Medley Relay with the quartet of Sarah Mullane, Sam Murphy, Bianca Franco, and Isabel Treanor. Individual winners were Mark Crocker in the 100 freestyle and Sam Murphy in the 50 breaststroke.
With the win, the Knights still remain undefeated on the season and with two dual meets remaining. Coming up next for the Knights is St John the Baptist on Sunday. If the Knights win that meet they will then be facing St Greggs in a dual meet with the winner claiming a division title on Nov. 2. The league championships are scheduled on Nov. 9 at the University of Buffalo.
