ENP STAFF REPORTS

NEWFANE — A Coomer Road man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Thursday that he believes a friend of his ordered three cell phones through his Verizon account.
The man said that he had put his friend on his account and believes the friend may have heard his password for his account, which enabled him to pretend to be the complainant and order the phones — valued at $1,400.
Two of the phones were delivered, but the complainant was able to stop delivery on the third. Fed Ex told the complainant that a male did come into the Buffalo location to try and pickup the undelivered package and that video of the attempted pickup is available.
The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Bureau for review.
