ENP STAFF REPORTS

TOWN OF LOCKPORT — A Roosevelt Drive woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies that while she was at a Transit Road car dealership, the floor mats to her vehicle were taken — and replaced with cheap ones.
The woman said that while she was at Heinrich Chevrolet, her Weather Tech floor mats were removed from her vehicle and in their place were cheap rubber mats. She said she had dropped her vehicle off at the dealership around 9 a.m. Thursday and picked it up about three hours later. She noticed the switch about an hour or two after that and reported it to the dealership.
Heinrich employees said they could not locate the missing floor mats and found nothing unusual on the store's security footage, but added that the vehicle was parked out of camera range for about two hours.
