ENP STAFF REPORTS
news@eastniagarapost.com
RANSOMVILLE — A Clinton Street man told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies Friday night that while he was at Ransomville Speedway, the rear window to his 2010 Dodge Journey was smashed.
Patrol observed an approximate three-foot hole in the center of the back window of the complainant's vehicle with shattered tinted glass on the ground underneath the vehicle and also inside the back of the vehicle. The man's vehicle was the only vehicle parked in the area by the fence along the race track when patrol arrived.
Upon closer inspection, patrol observed writing in the dust on the bottom right hand corner of the back window stating "wash me." The man said that the writing was not there when he left the vehicle before entering the race track around 8 p.m. but was there when he returned to his vehicle at 10:20 p.m., along with the shattered window.
The complainant told patrol that he contacted Ransomville Speedway staff who advised him that they had not seen anyone by his vehicle during the race. He also said he had checked inside the vehicle and observed nothing to be missing.
