OLCOTT — An anonymous called tipped Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on to the presence of marijuana in a car on Tuesday.
According to a report filed by NCSO, about $50 worth of pot was seized from Michelle Kless, no age or address given, around 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Police had received a call about the fact that Kless would have narcotics on her prior to pulling over her vehicle, which was north bound on Lockport Street. When patrol asked Kless if she had any drugs in the vehicle, she said "I have a bag of weed in my purse in the back seat."
Patrol searched the rest of the vehicle, but did not locate any further narcotics. Kless was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and ordered to appear in Town of Newfane Court on Sept. 23. The suspected marijuana was secured into a property locker in order to be sent to the laboratory for confirmation.
