Two white males attempting to rob a Lockport bar failed early this morning.
According to a report filed by the Lockport Police Department, an employee of the Diamond Restaurant on State Road locked the business and set the alarm around 1:15 a.m. The employee then got into his car as the two males approached the driver's side.
"The victim locked the doors and the male attempted to open the door and was pointing at the victim," according to the LPD report. "The suspects did not say anything and ran south on State Road when the victim put the car in drive."
One of the assailants is described as approximately 20 years old, 5-foot, 10-inches tall with a thin build, wearing a hood and gray scarf over his face. The other assailant could only be described as a younger white male.
