ENP STAFF REPORTS

WRIGHTS CORNERS — A Ridge Road woman told Niagara County Sheriff's deputies on Thursday that someone had used her credit card information without her knowledge.
The complainant said that she received a call from her credit card company earlier in the day stating there were charges made with her credit card that the credit card company did not believe were made by her. She informed the credit card company the charges were not made by her and had the credit card cancelled.
She said there was an approximate total of $1,000 in charges made with the card by the unknown person beginning Wednesday.
She was told by the credit card company that her information was possibly compromised after using the credit card at Home Depot. Home Depot's system was recently compromised and the woman had recently shopped at Home Depot, according to the NCSO report.
Patrol referred the case to Criminal Investigations Bureau.
