BARKER — The Babcock House Museum will host an Old Fashioned Farm Festival from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday.
The beautifully restored 1848 cobblestone house will be open for tours, many artisans will be demonstrating old-time crafts; including quilting, broom making, a blacksmith, chair rushing and caning, rug braiding and hooking, basket weaving, and wood carving. There will be demonstrations of a knitting machine and rope making. There will be wood planing demonstrations using a large antique Adirondack lumber planer. A Civil War re-enactor will be on the site all day.
Antique cars, tractors, and engines will be on display. There will be demonstrations on some of the antique equipment as well as the wood working shop.
